Everything your child needs to develop their skills is readily available in the bush.
Plumtree Nature Playgroup is about getting back to basics and having fun outside.
Come and be supported in learning about the simple, fun & beneficial play that can happen in a natural bush session. Everything your child needs to develop their skills is readily available in the bush.
You and your child will be supported in playing and exploring by Plumtree’s speech pathologist and occupational therapist.
Each day in the bush is different.
We are often guided to particular activities dependent on the weather.
Learning outcomes could include:
Fostering your child’s independence as they discover how to engage with the environment and develop essential self-help skills.
Fostering connections among peers as they engage in group activities and outdoor adventures – allowing for shared experience and opportunities for new friendships.
Learning and exploring through adventure, guided by the weather and the ever-changing natural surroundings.
Activities might include:
Making mud pies
Building with natural materials
Slowing down to investigate & enjoy small wonders
Climbing rocks, nature art and craft
