IDEAS (Information on Disability Education and Awareness Service) was notified yesterday of its success in a submission to the Dept of Health to operate the SSD project previously auspiced by Wagga Wagga City Council.
We are looking forward to strengthening our connection with the CHSP providers operating in the Riverina Murray by re-engaging with the sector to build on the work of the previous project and fulfil the plans put in place by the Project Officer. IDEAS (www.ideas.org.au) will act as auspice for the project on a recurrent basis.
Martin Heng, IDEAS Chair said, “We aim to deliver a focussed service that will support the continued development of the sector, in turn ensuring people using these services are able to access good quality supports.”
The project will see an enhanced level of support to Providers in the Riverina-Murray region through face-to-face engagement supported by effective technology, and the delivery of tailored information through the Senior Years and Aboriginal Aged Care directories.
IDEAS will be finalising details with the Department and negotiating with relevant personnel this week with the aim of implementing the project as soon as possible. Once negotiations are complete, we will provide further details.
We look forward to working with all Riverina-Murray CHSP Providers to continue the success of this project.
Martin Heng
IDEAS Chair
